MAPLELAND that lets you play the old version of MAPLESTORY before the “Big Bang” update was released in South Korea over a year ago. While you can't play the English version of MAPLELAND yet, and there may be some language difficulties with the gameplay, I think you can still enjoy it without knowing Korean.

On the maplestoryworlds homepage, you can see the different versions of maplestory in order of popularity and click on Mapleland(빅토리아). In the case of maplestoryworlds, there are multiple channels in one game and you need to navigate between them to play, which is done automatically when you play the game.

Once you log in to mapleland, create a character, and enter the game, you'll see a screen like the one above, and you can start playing just like you used to play maplestory back in the day.
